Bengaluru vs Lucknow on April 2

Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Lucknow Super Giants will be up against each other in the 15th match of the IPL 2024. Both teams have had a similar start to their campaign in the ongoing tournament. Both teams lost the first match of their campaign away from home. In their second match, which took place at their respective home grounds, both teams managed to make a comeback and register a win. The only difference is that RCB lost their previous game. Against arch-rivals KKR, RCB suffered a humiliating loss. Batting first, the home side managed to score only 182 runs. KKR chased down the target with ease and won the match by seven wickets with 20 balls to spare. The match between RCB and LSG will happen at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The home side would be hoping to return to winning ways after suffering a huge loss in their previous match. They do have some concerns in their lineup, which might be addressed in the game against LSG. On the other hand, LSG will be flying high with their recent win against PBKS. The Lucknow-based franchise unearthed a terrific talent in the game in the form of Mayank Yadav for whom there seems to be no limit to the pace. The right-arm pacer bowled a deadly spell where none of his deliveries clocked below a pace of 140 kmph. Apart from him, LSG has some of the best players in the world, who will have to go against some of the best players in the dugout of RCB.

Best economical pick Mayank Yadav was brilliant in the game against PBKS. The youngster clocked 140 kmph and threatened the batters with his sheer pace. In his spell, the 21-year-old claimed 3/26 and won the Player of the Match award.

Top captains & vice captains – RCB’s Virat Kohli could be the best batter in the 15th game of the IPL 2024 against LSG. Kohli has been in sensational form in the tournament, and with brilliant knocks in his previous games, the veteran batter will look to put in another excellent showing in the upcoming game as well. Nicholas Pooran has been in brilliant hitting form as usual. In the first game against RR, the southpaw scored 64 runs in 41 balls. In the second game against PBKS, he led LSG to a win and scored 42 runs off 21 balls.

Smart pick – Faf du Plessis has not fired with the bat in the last two games. After scoring a brisk 36 against CSK, he could not do well against PBKS and KKR. But the Proteas batter will be expected to deliver the goods with the bat against LSG.

Cautious Pick – Ayush Badoni has not been in good form in recent times. He bats lower down the order and is used in different roles. Given the lack of clarity in the role, one might not expect the best performance from the youngster.

My XI – Virat Kohli (Captain), Nicholas Pooran (Vice-Captain), Faf du plessis, Mayank Yadav, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, Mohammad Siraj, Dinesh Karthik
