Rajasthan vs Delhi on March 28

The inaugural champions kick-started their campaign by beating Lucknow Super Giants by 20 runs. On the other hand, DC, who are yet to win a title, lost to Punjab Kings (PBKS) by four wickets in their opening clash. While RR tops the points table with an impressive net run rate (NRR) of +1.000, DC is second-last in the standings with an NRR of -0.455. Batting first, DC, led by Rishabh Pant, managed to set a decent target of 175 runs in their 20 overs. A collective effort from the top order and Abishek Porel's final burst proved crucial for them. But, on the back of Sam Curran's brilliant half-century, Shikhar Dhawan and his team overcame the target with four balls to spare. For the Royals, captain Sanju Samson was the key to getting them to a competitive total of 193/4. The right-handed batter smashed a blazing 82 off 52, while Riyan Parag also contributed with a 29-ball 43. Nicholas Pooran and skipper KL Rahul toiled for LSG, but an impressive bowling effort, especially from Sandeep Sharma, restricted them to 173/6.

Best economical pick Riyan Parag was promoted up the batting order and it turned out to be a good decision as he played a crucial knock in RR's win against LSG. The right-handed batter scored 43 runs off 29 balls, including three sixes and a four.

Top captains & vice captains – Rajasthan Royals’ opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal, could be the best batter in game 9 of the ongoing IPL 2024. Jaiswal has been in impeccable form as of late and looked to be going with the flow in the first game as well. With a score of 24 runs in his previous game, Jaiswal will be keen on doing better and putting in an impressive showing. The three-time Orange Cap winner and the backbone of the DC batting unit, David Warner is known for his ability to anchor the innings as well as accelerate when the situation calls for it.

Smart pick – Royals’ Trent Boult could be the best bowler in the upcoming clash against Delhi Capitals. Boult’s spell in the powerplay has always been lethal, and that could once again be a go-to strategy for Royals against Delhi Capitals.

Cautious Pick – The uncapped Indian all-rounder Sumit Kumar did not had a good debut in the last match. He couldn't make an impact in either department, so dropping him from your team would be a wise call.

My XI – Yashasvi Jaiswal (Captain), David Warner (Vice-Captain), Riyan Parag, Trent Boult, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant, Shimron Hetmyer, Axar Patel
